Workshop for project management and applying for international projects organised in Ohrid
28 March 2017

What kind of projects exist? Where to apply for funding? How to write project proposals? How to get involved? – are one part of the topics covered at the workshop with general focus on “Project Management”, that took place in Ohrid on 27-28 March 2017.

Total of 24 representatives of local VET schools, Workers Universities, Centre for Adult Learning and the Ministry of Education and Science from the South-West of the country attended the seminar, conducted and moderated by Ms. Mariana Matache, key-expert for Adult Education and Dr. Ellinor Haase, visiting expert, currently co-chair of the ICC.

The goal of the seminar was to provide relevant information and guidance to participants on how to write and apply for European and international projects, that may bring series of benefits in the area of lifelong learning programs. Other topics relevant to the project management cycle were also presented and discussed – Rationale, Aims and Objectives, Methodology, Impact, Sustainability, Innovation, European added value.

Beside reviewing the steps in project writing, the moderators put particular focus on budget writing which is usually an extremely challenging topic. The discussion proved that even participants who had already been involved in a project had difficulties in filling out a budget correctly.

To help overcome future obstacles and be successful in establishing and managing projects, participants were advised to consider starting with small-scale projects, exercise each step in project writing, and initiate partnerships with more experienced individuals or organisations.

The workshop for project management was organised in frames of the EU-funded project “Enhancing Lifelong Learning through Modernising Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education Systems”, implemented by the British Council.
